    Join us in Bakers Hall, home to the Worshipful Company of Bakers to learn how to make a challah with master baker Ray Rinkoff, together with his senior baker, Richard of Rinkoff’s Jewish bakery who have been baking challahs every Friday since 1911

    We’ll learn how to make a four-strand plaited challah, and for the adventurous, something a little more complex.

    Learn about the Shavuot dairy tradition.

    You’ll also decorate and eat cheesecake, and sample a recreated medieval dairy pie called floden.

    Join us on an exclusive guided walking tour to accompany our exhibition, Revealing the Medieval Jewish Cemetery, at the London Archive. 

    The tour takes you through the iconic Barbican Estate and nearby streets to explore the site of the medieval Jewish cemetery and the neighbourhood where a vibrant Jewish community once lived and worked. You’ll also glimpse some of the area’s more recent Jewish history, adding another layer to the story.
